Home Knockout Punches Knockout Punch & Die Finder
Two-way knockout-system compatibility lookup
Start with the knockout driver you own, or start with a punch/die family you already have. The finder checks the documented size path, punch and die, draw stud, required adapter, material limit and compatibility status.
Current finder scope
Milwaukee M18 FORCE LOGIC 2677-20 6T and 2676-20 10T; Greenlee 7238SB/KRW-1 manual, 746A hydraulic, LS50L2 and LS100X Intelli-PUNCH systems; Milwaukee EXACT, Greenlee Slug-Buster and Greenlee Standard Round punch families.
Last source verification: August 26, 2026. Unknown is an intentional result when current manufacturer documents do not establish the exact combination.
The reviewed manufacturer documentation supports the driver/accessory/application path shown, within the stated size and material limits.
The path depends on the named adapter, draw stud, spacer or related component. Removing that requirement changes the conclusion.
Physical interchangeability may be reported elsewhere, but this finder does not treat physical fit as manufacturer approval.
Current manufacturer evidence is incomplete, generic or conflicting for the exact combination. Unknown is not the same as incompatible.
The reviewed source establishes a different size, material or accessory limit for the selected setup.
A knockout setup is not just a driver plus a punch. The draw stud transfers the driver force through the die and punch, and manufacturers publish different stud families by size and by driver type. Greenlee, for example, uses separate DSBB manual and DSH hydraulic studs. Milwaukee maps its regular studs from 7/16" at 1/2" conduit size, to 3/4" through common 3/4"–2" sizes, to 1-1/8" for larger EXACT punches.
The finder therefore treats an existing draw stud as a separate check. A stud having the same nominal diameter does not prove that it is the documented stud for the selected tool and punch family.
49-16-2685 is Milwaukee’s adapter for other major brands of punches and dies on a Milwaukee FORCE LOGIC power unit. The current product page explicitly states the 1/2"–2" range, while the operator manual describes other major brands of small and large punches/dies. Because those current documents are not perfectly aligned for larger sizes, the finder keeps larger competitive-accessory cases as unknown instead of extending the narrower product-page claim.
49-16-2684 is described in Milwaukee service documentation as the EXACT adapter for competitor power units using Milwaukee EXACT 2-1/2"–4" dies. Current individual larger EXACT punch/die pages also describe competitive-tool use with 49-16-2684. This direction of compatibility is different from 49-16-2685.
The current Greenlee hydraulic selection table lists both Slug-Buster and Standard Round punches through 2", but only Standard Round punches in the 2-1/2"–4" conduit-size rows. The Greenlee 7238SB manual kit is specified for up to 10-gauge mild steel, while current 746A-, LS50L2- and LS100X-based hydraulic/battery-hydraulic systems are documented through 10-gauge mild or 12-gauge stainless steel in the common 1/2"–4" range.
Slug-Splitter is a separate Greenlee punch family. It is intentionally not included in this first finder release until its size-by-size punch/die/stud data is normalized to the same standard.
For replacement-part context outside the live result, see Milwaukee Knockout Draw Studs and Greenlee Draw Studs. The guides explain regular/manual/hydraulic families without changing the finder’s source-backed result.
Milwaukee documents adapter 49-16-2685 for “other major brands” of punches and dies, but the current source reviewed does not name Greenlee specifically. The finder therefore keeps a Greenlee-specific Milwaukee combination at unknown unless more explicit documentation establishes it.
It is the documented adapter path from a Milwaukee FORCE LOGIC power unit to other major brands of punches and dies. The current product page states 1/2"–2". The operator manual uses broader small-and-large wording, so larger competitive sizes remain unknown where the documents do not agree.
Milwaukee service documentation describes 49-16-2684 in the opposite direction: competitor power units using Milwaukee EXACT 2-1/2"–4" dies. Current larger EXACT product pages also reference 49-16-2684 for competitive-tool compatibility.
Current hydraulic documentation maps 1/2" to DSH-7/16, 3/4"–2" to DSH-3/4, and 2-1/2"–4" to DSH-1-1/8. Manual ratchet systems use the corresponding DSBB manual-stud family instead.
The current operator manual specifies 4" holes in 14-ga mild steel and 2" holes in 14-ga stainless steel. This finder uses that manual capacity rather than the broader wording on some current marketing pages.
