Separate the M12 2472, M18 FORCE LOGIC 2672, ACSR jaw and 3-inch underground cutter before buying a tool, jaw or replacement blade. Milwaukee uses several cable-cutting architectures with different material limits.

Milwaukee cable cutters are several different systems
Search results for “Milwaukee cable cutter” mix compact M12 copper/aluminum cutters, M18 FORCE LOGIC hydraulic cutters, interchangeable cutting jaws, underground utility cutters and a manual armored-cable cutter. The catalog number matters more than the red housing.

M12 2472: compact soft-metal cable cutting
The 2472 platform is a 12-volt powered cutter designed for large copper and aluminum cable in tight panels. Milwaukee publishes 600 MCM copper and 750 MCM aluminum capacity. The operator manual labels the tool “DO NOT CUT STEEL”, which is an important boundary: a cable fitting between the jaws is not enough to make it suitable.
The dedicated replacement blade is 48-44-0410. Milwaukee's current blade page explicitly says to use it with the M12 600 MCM Cable Cutter 2472.
M18 2672: the cutting jaw creates cross-tool compatibility
The 2672-21 is Milwaukee's M18 FORCE LOGIC cable-cutter kit with the 49-16-2772 750 MCM Cu/Al cutting jaw. Milwaukee publishes 750 MCM copper and 1000 MCM aluminum capacity and identifies 48-44-0411 as the replacement-blade set for this jaw/system.
The interesting compatibility detail is that Milwaukee also documents the 49-16-2772 jaw for M18 FORCE LOGIC 6T crimpers. If you already own an applicable 2678-series 6T crimper, the cutting jaw can provide a documented second function without buying another power unit. 2672 Cu/Al and ACSR jaws are not interchangeable applications
The 49-16-2772 is the Cu/Al cutting jaw. The 49-16-2773 is an ACSR jaw. Treat those as separate material systems even though they attach to related FORCE LOGIC platforms. Using a soft-metal blade on steel-reinforced cable is exactly the kind of cross-application assumption this site avoids.
2776-21: a different class of underground cutter
The 2776-21 is not simply a larger 2672. Milwaukee describes it as a 3-inch underground cable cutter with a 9-ton hydraulic pump, designed for trench access and published for up to 1500 MCM copper 15 kV cable. Keep its voltage/cable-construction wording attached to the rating rather than generalizing “1500 MCM” to other materials.
